One more thing
And as the days burn off and I get closer to July 23, I grow more anxious. I want to keep this chapter of my life open and not just something that I did for seven months back when I was 23. As an educated member of the First World I feel it is my priviledge to take action.

Alyse! This is Benjamin, we spoke about te Botanical Pharmacies before a couple months ago.
We have had great success with the pharmacy in Juigalpa and are getting MINSA behind us and our physician, who is also stoked about CAM therapies.
Wat a trip, I was researching Carao syrup, which we used constantly with our patients on La Isla de Ometepe. I am teaching a class monday on making syrups, and after googling Carao, your blog popped up. Hope all is well, and check out www.nicaproject.wordpress.com
